Liverpool players and staff were pleased to get away from Naples with a 0-0 draw - and their lives - last night.
The match against Napoli in the Europa League went ahead despite a number of Reds fans being attacked and hospitalised with serious injuries. Groups of Napoli fans admitted they went out hunting for Liverpool supporters.
But a Reds insider confided that there was more than just fan violence in the club's mind.
"They say, though, don't they though, 'see Naples and die,' don't they?
"Well, tacheit from me, la, you can't fock'n fly into Naples and not see it, like. You can't play a fock'n footie match witcher fock'n eyes closed.
"It was so reeelly scary, like. Loads of Italians tried to attack our fans and dat were bad enough. Bu' just dyin' 'cos we'd fock'n seen the place seems to be last, if you ask me, la."
