In the last few minutes, it has emerged from South Africa that the France World Cup squad is to leave the country and the tournament, BEFORE the team's last Group A game with hosts South Africa on Tuesday.
The news comes close on the heels of a fall-out between striker Nicolas Anelka and manager Raymond Domenech, which resulted in the Chelsea striker being sent home, and a subsequent row between Patrice Evra and fitness coach Robert Duverne on the training ground.
After that spat, the entire team refused to continue with the training session, preferring, instead, to watch a porn film at their hotel.
France drew their opening game 0-0 with Uruguay, and followed that up with a 2-0 defeat to Mexico, leaving them needing to beat South Africa heavily, but also reliant upon the game between Mexico and Uruguay not ending in a draw.
Now, the French FA has decided 'enough is enough', and has withdrawn its team from the World Cup. They will return to France later today.
Mind you, there are those that say the French team shouldn't even have been there...
