Mr Ed the talking horse is in mourning after the death at Cheltenham of Casey Jones. Not Casey Jones the engineer of the train the Cannonball Express, it was a very good racehorse called Casey Jones who died a horrific death at Cheltenham the "death course".
Every year horses are killed at the Cheltenham Festival which is the championship races for National Hunt horses or jumpers. Mr Ed wants to tell you what happens when one of these brave horses is badly injured, so here is a WARNING read no further if you don't want to know.
"Hi I am Mr Ed the only talking horse I want to tell you what happens on racecourses like Cheltenham when horses suffer a broken leg or other injury. The first thing that happens is a screen gets put up round the stricken horse,a vet then gives the thumbs down, followed by a guy with a gun who shoots the horse. Then a guy with a saw cuts the horses legs of to transport the dead horse from the deathcourse I mean racecourse".
They shoot horses, don't they?
