Notre Dame, the home of the Golden Dome, the Fighting Irish, and Touchdown Jesus has hired a new football coach. The football program, famous for Knute Rockne, The Gipper, and The Four Horsemen, recently fired Charlie Weis after he led the team to an unsuccessful record of 35-27 over the last five seasons. Notre Dame has also not won an NCAA football championship since the departure of Lou Holtz.
The school announced that they have hired a man who has won championships at both the college and professional level. He has proven that he can turn teams around and provide immediate success everywhere that he has coached.
The new man to lead the team? None other than former University of Kansas and Detroit Pistons coach Larry Brown.
When asked why they would hire a basketball coach for the football team, University spokesman Flint Mitchell said "he's a proven winner. Motivation is motivation and jocks are jocks. We just want the BCS money."
