Fabio Capello today named his England squad to face Spain in midweek. At a press conference held at the top of the Post Office Tower, he revealed the full squad to the assembled members of the press:
'Beckham.'
Mr Capello then left the room, leaving the FA to release the following press statement :
'Mr Capello has today named only one player to face Spain, in order to prevent injury to any of the Premier League players, and to highlight just how good he believes Beckham has become since he began to play for AC Milan. Spain are European champions, however they are notoriously bad when playing against ten men, and therefore based on extrapolation they will be very poor when playing against one player, albeit one who is a global superstar.'
Spain will line up 4-1-4-1, with England alternating between 0-0-1-0 and 1-0-0-0.
David Beckham is married and has some children. The notoriously publicity shy midfield creative was today in hiding at a massive celebrity shindig.
