A number of British banks have pointed to the "erratic" and "poorly executed" business decisions made by Liverpool FC and specifically Rafa Benitez today.
The statements came almost immediately after Robbie Keane, bought by Liverpool in the summer for £20M was sold to Tottenham for £12M.
In a move clearly aimed at trying to deflect some of the focus from the ongoing losses generated by Banks in Quarter 4 of last year, a number of bank spokesmen pointed to the fact that the actions of a single man had cost Liverpool an estimated eight million pounds.
"When you think about that, it really makes what we have managed to cook up quite amateurish" commented one CEO of a large British bank.
It is also believed that Rafa Benitez rifled through Keane's kitbag before he left, stealing the Irishman's shower gel and toothpaste in order to desperately try and recoup some of the money lost in his dealings.
