Adams looks in mirror, sacks himself

Funny story written by Remi Moses

Sunday, 1 February 2009

Under immense pressure (which he welcomed), Portsmouth's manager Tony Adams today woke up, looked in the mirror, and accepted the resignation of his own reflection, in a bid to 'move on and do what's best for Portsmouth Football Club'.

'I'd like to say that I'm not a quitter,' said Adams, 'however I can't speak for the other representations of myself that exist in other dimensions, such as my reflection, my shadow or the version of myself that went on to be Arsenal manager in a parallel universe.'

Adams accepted the resignation of his reflection, and immediately called the Pompey first team squad together for an early morning primal screaming session, with the aim being to scare the living daylights out of new loan signing Jermaine Pennant to try and make him 'be any good'.

Portsmouth are now odds on to be taken over by a digital reimagining of first team coach Jonny Metgod.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
