Robbie Keane, the striker who Liverpool signed from Tottenham Hotspur last summer, is furious tonight after the Merseyside club announced that he has been sold back to Spurs against his will.
Despite being loved by the White Hart Lane faithful, Keane described his £20.3m move from Spurs last July as "a childhood dream", having supported Liverpool as a boy. The Irishman struggled to win over the Anfield fans, however, and never managed to establish himself in the first eleven.
Rafa Benitez used Keane sparingly, and some felt it was only a matter of time before Keane left the Premier League title challengers.
Today, that deal took place, but Keane is not happy.
He told readers on his personal blog:
"I love Liverpool. I don't want to return to Tottenham. My heart is on Merseyside, and I'm livid with Rafa Benitez for crushing my dream. I don't think you can ever trust a Spaniard with a goatie beard. Tosser!"
