The increasing levels of pressure on Manchester City has clearly taken its toll. Blackburn Police are reporting that start striker for the Riversiders, Roque Santa Cruz has been kidnapped.
Security footage from Ewood Park clearly shows a masked man pulling up in a white van, running into the ground, and leading the Paraguayan out of the ground with a black bag over his head.
The van is then seen driving from the ground in the direction of Manchester.
It has been a difficult January for City, having had a number of different bids rejected, most well known being the refusal of Kaka to join the team. However it is the number of bids that have been turned down by the Blackburn striker that seems to have pushed them to take such extreme action.
Police have been unable to locate the kidnapper, however they intend to arrest him the second he tries to play Santa Cruz upfront for City.
Security has also been extended around a number of other players which City have made recent offers for.
