Shock hit the premiership today as the Blackburn manager Sam Allardyce revealed that his grandfather was in fact, famous mafia head Al Capone.
"Yes, he was my grandad" confirmed Allardyce, "We visited him a few times when he was on Alcatraz, but that whole syphillis thing made visits very sour".
The initial rumours had started when various members of the Chicago crime syndicate had visited certain premiership heads in order to assure the status of Blackburn FC, since Allardyce had taken over.
One example of these rumours is that it is believed that in response to the high volume of transfer requests from Manchester City, two members of the Alladyce 'family' accosted Mark Hughes. He was taken to a barge on the Manchester Ship canal and they began to prepare concrete boots for the manager, before he agreed to make no further bids for Roque Santa Cruz.
Another unnamed manager is said to have woken up next to the head of their famous racehorse "Rook of Gibraltar", having made preliminary enquiries about the price of Benni McCarthy.
