Formula One looks set to try and replicate the most popular track and field event, the 100m.
Formula One bosses are quietly confident that the World Record 9.69secs by Usain Bolt can be broken by one of the Formula one cars, in what would be seen as a monumental achievement if accomplished.
The 100m race will replace the original format of Formula One races, with bosses claiming this will be more "thrilling" and less "boring".
There will also be a "boring" marathon for healthier Formula One cars, but it will be gruelling. It will be a one mile race.
F1 bosses say, if this is successful, they may even lobby for formula one cars to enter the Olympics, which would be seen as a delightful move.
