Lincoln, Nebraska. Woof Blister with an SOS - Spoof On Sports. Exclusive to The Spoof. One day before the Big Ten voted to play football this fall, reversing its previous ban on games, all the seniors on the Nebraska football team withdrew from the university and re-enrolled with full scholarships at Alabama.
"These guys deserved a shot at the NFL and, with no games for Nebraska this fall, their chance at a pro contract was nil. Alabama is not only playing games, but the team is virtually assured of a major bowl bid at end of the season," said a sympathetic Nebraska coach.
Now that the Big Ten will be playing games in October, the big question is can the players re-enroll at Nebraska? Anti-athletic faculty members on the admissions committee will likely vote NO.
