Pullman, WA. The Spoof News Service. Previously winless UCLA stunned the football world with a come-from-WAY-behind 67-63 upset victory over previously undefeated Washington State, here at Pullman, Saturday night.
With the Bruins trailing by 32 points early in the second half, an outraged U of California president Janet Napolitano called the UCLA chancellor, ordering an embarrassing 0-3 UCLA to drop football after this season. That order was quickly and quietly rescinded with a minute to play and the Bruins ahead by four points and in possession of the ball.
In early voting, Sunday morning, The Spoof Equipment Managers poll ranked the Bruins No. 4 nationally, ahead of all other PAC 12 teams. UCLA now stands atop the PAC 12 South and is the odds-on favorite to represent the conference in the Rose Bowl. Playing for the national championship is a distinct possibility.
