France and Croatia provided a stunning finale to the World Cup last night, and, in a wonderful show of footballing skills, the French ran out 4-2 victors. Sadly, there was an unfortunate footnote to the tournament, when an argument broke out over the winner of the Golden Boot, and then players, coaches and dignitaries became unwilling participants in what is commonly known as a Golden Shower.
The 'rain' came from the top rim of the stadium where a thousand stunningly-beautiful Russia women straddled the gantry all the way round the roof in provocative poses Spectators also were drenched in rain.
The trouble started as the players waited on the pitch for the trophy and their medals to be awarded, when the 'heavens' opened and they were soaked by a shower of golden rain. The players having worked up quite a sweat, the 'gold' then stuck to their faces, hair, shirts, shorts, socks and boots, leaving things looking rather like a scene from some extravagant porn film.
Everyone was whipped up into a frenzy by the symbolism, and players cavorted with each other and fans, panting, almost breathless as they celebrated the occasion.
