LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Lakers helped to put smiles on two of their biggest fans actor Jack Nicholson and producer Lou Adler as they defeated the Denver Nuggets 103-88 in game one of the NBA playoffs.
Nicholson, 75, and Adler, 78, who are regarded as two of the oldest and riches Laker fans, sit next to each other in their front row center court seats and are actually closer to the action that the players on both benches.
According to Tango Brisket with Sports Territory Magazine, there were six times during the season when referees threatened to hit the Lakers with technicals due to Nicholson's getting carried away and calling the refs some extremely explicit expletives.
After the third outburst by the movie star, Kobe Bryant reportedly walked over to Nicholson and told him that he needs to stop yelling at the referees.
He emphasized to him that if he doesn't he will personally have security escort him out of the Staples Center and back to his Limousine where he can listen to the game on his car radio.
The Lakers organization has already advised all of the arena's beer, hot dog, and peanut vendors not to sell any kind of beverage or snack to Nicholson or to Adler.
Adler allegedly complained that he does not yell at the refs but he was told that they know if he orders beer or a hot dog that Jack will probably tell him to sell it to him.
Kobe "The Single Bro" Bryant (#24) was the games leading scorer with 31 points and Andrew "Biggun" Bynum (#17) led the team with 13 rebounds.
Andrew Goudelock (#0) who only played two minutes and had no rebounds led the Lakers bench in cheering.
Last year Sport Territory Magazine named Goudelock as The NBA's Best Basketball Bench Cheerleader.
After defeating the Nuggets Bryant was asked by Sherwood Frisbee with Sports Balls Illustrated Weekly if the team missed Metta World Peace, who received a seven game suspension due to having hit Oklahoma City Thunder's James Harden with a hard left elbow.
Kobe took a bite of his blue cotton candy and a swig from his Coke Zero and asked "Metta World Who?"
[EDITOR'S NOTE: According to Larry King, Metta World Peace, who used to be Ron Artest, watched the game with Kim Kardashian and her new boyfriend Kanye West on a big screen television at a Tacos, Tacos, and Mucho More Tacos Mexican Restaurant located in the San Fernando Valley.]
