The BBC Football League Show featuring all the goals from the championship, league one and league two has been axed by the BBC over ongoing budget cuts to the corporation, which led to the Christmas and New Year editions being cancelled.

"HELLO TO ALL YOU TRUCKERS OUT THERE"

The show attracted a sizeable audience despite its late starting time after Match Of The Day around 3am in the morning. It will be replaced by a 'kick-about from the world famous Hackney Marshes - with Danny Baker hosting.

Football league chairman expressed outrage. Master Ken Bates of Leeds United said "This is an outrage"

PUB TEAMS

However, Leyton Orient chairman Harry Bearn suggested that his side could still be broadcast as the ground is a stones throw from the marshes "and sometimes we play like a Sunday morning pub team as well."

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
