NASA scientists have announced that the recent discovery of methane gas on the planet Mars has led to another find after sattelite footage picked up a structure which many experts claim to be the first sighting of an alien public toilet.
"This is what science is all about" said elated NASA spokesman Les Riddley on the toilet discovery "When we found the methane cloud we realised that there must be some sort of life form up there" he said "And then when we stumbled upon what looked a old roll of toilet paper we thought hello what's this and sure enough a little bit later we came across a public toilet that George Micheal himself would be proud to call home"
Dr Riddley says to this point there's been no footage beamed back of any aliens actually using the toilets with some ethical issues becoming a rather large stumbling block.
"We're not to sure how the Martians might take it if they find out that we're filming them going to the toilet" he said "I know myself that if someone from say Jupiter was filming me I'd rather it be at a time when I wasn't wearing my pants down around my ankles"
Monitoring of the toilet will be continued "but only from the outside" says Dr Riddley with a plan being formulated to make contact with the Martians in the near future.
"We're going to try a traditional approach through exchanging gifts which is why at this very moment we're readying a probe set for Mars which will be carrying things such as urinal cakes some soap on a rope and some reading material for those aliens who like to catch up on the news whilst doing a poo.
