Records, bodies, tumble.

France's new fast train has smashed the previous fast train record. However, in so doing, it has gone so fast it has accidentally traveled forward in time, like Michael J Fox in Back to the Future.

Problems arose when the train, which was traveling at 574.8 km/hr, reached the future only to discover there were no train tracks. Instead of a long stretch of rail road there was a thriving metropolis which bore the brunt of the engineering marvel. Several buildings were destroyed, lives were lost and the screams of those in the future have echoed all the way into the past.

However, engineer Eric Pieczac reassured the press "This is still a great day for France. Screw the future. You'd think they would have known it was coming."
