HONG KONG - The Chinese government has contacted NASA and conveyed to them that they would like to purchase a space shuttle.
A Chinese spokesperson stated that they want to ship the space shuttle to Hong Kong where it will be placed in the soon to be built Commemorative Nasa City Park, which will be located in downtown Hong Kong.
The park is being built as a tribute to the American space program and it will honor each and every U.S. astronaut that has gone up in space.
President Obama informed the Chinese government that he is thrilled that the Chinese government has decided to honor the American astronauts and the space program.
He remarked that he will see what he can do about working out a deal where NASA will provide China with one of its retired space shuttles.
SIDENOTE: President Obama stated that he plans to present the space shuttle to the Chinese government at no cost. He quipped that if they would like, however to reduce the balance of the amount of money the US owes China that it would not hurt his feelings one darn bit.
