Miniature "nano pigs" have been bred by the Ministry of Agriculture. The pigs, smaller than ants are exactly like large white porkers, but a hundred times smaller.
They can be kept in a matchbox until required and then fattened up to full size with cat biscuits in one day. Orders from China have exceeded $10 billion.
The pigs will revolutionise farming as they can be bred in biscuit tins. Several of the pigs have been seen to form a cocoon structure and emerge as pigs with wings.
The late Bernard Mathews's company has expressed an interest in the new product and is working on the development of nano turkeys according to recent reports.
