Russian scientists have drilled through layers of antarctic ice and taken samples from a lake believed to be - by them - 15 million years old.
On analysis, these new lifeforms remain as bacteria, rather than growing limbs, heads, breasts, eyes, noses, testicles etc.
They are classed as new life forms as their DNA is less than 86% similar to known bacteria. Or put another way, more than 14% similar to known bacterial DNA.
We contacted evolution crackpot and atheist fundamentalist Richard Dawkins, and asked him, why in 15 million years, this bacteria had not evolved or randomly mutated into anything other than bacteria. His reply, was cut short by him having to feed his cat.
