Folks on the Internet were surprised to see recently a photo of a big group of falcons relaxing while traveling in the cabin of a plane!
Interviews with the flying falcons revealed a number of interesting things about the flight:
-- For some of the falcons it was a maiden voyage. The rookie falcons put the airline-provided barf bags over their heads, so they wouldn't have to "see" the takeoff and landing. One of the falcons explained, "When you're used to flying on your own, it's scary to put yourself in someone else's hands. Not being in charge of your own flight is a bit of a downer."
-- To the delight of the bird audience, the specially selected movies shown onboard were "The Maltese Falcon" and "Snakes on a Plane." Movie reviewers among the falcons described the former as "intriguing" and the latter as "exciting," although they claimed the snakes movie left them starving.
-- The falcons found the food on the plane adequate for the most part. The main course was chicken, which pleased most, although one falcon complained, "I really prefer to catch my own. I guess it's the thrill of the hunt, y'know."

An interesting observation. Apparently falcons aren't that different from humans. A few of the flying falcons over-imbibed and disgraced themselves by chirping loudly a selection of drinking songs such as "Show Me the Way To Go Home" and "A Hundred Bottles of Beer on the Wall." Sigh.... SOME falcons you just can't take out in public.
