The soccer world is relieved now that John Terry has been cleared of being a racist and making racist comments to fellow pro, Anton Ferdinand. It was obvious that this case would be washed whiter than white due to the fact that Terry is best mates with loads of black players and his outburst was just a "fart in the wind" with no deeper meanings.
But the doubt hanging over such cases will always be there due to the sensitivity of what one is allowed to say and what not, also imagine if Terry had been a building worker and called his black mate in jest, a f++++G black c++t; would he have gotten off scott free?
Terry can now resume his career without any fear of being called a nasty racist and the multi-culti world of pro-soccer in England can continue pristine clean, albeit, with a grey shadow hanging over its head.
As for Anton Ferdinand (and others), who took the comments from Terry on the chin, he can also continue playing without having to worry about thick, over-paid soccer stars abusing him with racist comments. Because the next time a high-profile player gets his knickers in a twist and decides to hurl abuse at his fellow professionals, Big Brother will be watching him; that's unless he does a "José Mourinho" and puts his hand in front of his mouth whilst doing it; you never know?
