Following the news that Karen Brady's nephew has been signed by Chelsea, the club swooped today for a family double when they signed her grandmother as well, to work in the club canteen.
Brady began her football career at Birmingham City, working for porn barons David Sullivan and David Gold as Chief Executive, owners of the Sunday Sport and other bottom shelf publications.
She made a gaffe early on in her football management career when talking to Aston Villa boss, she said he must be proud of his son Dalian Atkinson, who had scored the winning goal that day.
(They were not related - Dalian is black, Ron is white.) After the two Davids sold Birmingham City, they bought West Ham, the club they supported as children and installed Brady as Vice-President.
Mrs Brady senior was in the Chelsea training ground canteen today, preparing for the new season, cooking a veggie stew to help detox the players bodies from the KFC they ate over the summer.
A West Ham supporter wrote on a fan website "Typical Brady - she'd sell her grandmother if she thought she could make a few quid... oh hang on..."
