A further scandal embroiled Scottish football today as it emerged that Club 12, which was parachuted into the SPL to replace Rangers has now entered administration after failing to honour financial obligations.
Payments are already overdue regarding SFA registration, SPL subscriptions and tax owed to HMRC. Club 12 could be subject to a winding up order unless reparations are made.
Court appointed administrators Duff & Woof have been unable to contact the former owners of Club 12 nor been unable to ascertain the precious nature of any assets owned by the club.
A spokesman for the SPL has confirmed that "Although we were unable to meet the owners of Club 12 in person, we had no reason to suspect they were not fit and proper persons to run a football club".
