Sharon Osborne, wife of legendary heavy metal frontman Ozzie Osborne, never goes anywhere without her pooch, Puddles, a Pomeranian. So it goes without saying that when she showed up on the red carpet for the VMA's Sunday night, she had Puddles in her arms.
Everything was going quite well. Sharon went inside with Puddles and took her seat closest to the stage awaiting a perceived night of some of the best entertainment in the music industry.
And then the unthinkable happened. Puddles began lifting his cute little Pomeranian nose in the air and sniffing. They were getting ready to announce the Video of the Year award, Cher was onstage looking lovely in next to nothing and expecting that nothing Gaga could wear could upstage her famous "Turn Back Time" 80's costume. But she was wrong.
Gaga showed up on stage in her meat mini dress and all hell broke loose. Puddles stormed the stage in a feeding frenzy, tearing at Gaga's skirt with wild abandon as Sharon Osborne ran up to try and pry her jaws from Gaga's dress. Cher, always one to keep her head in times of unexpected stage events, grabbed Gaga's meat purse and threw it to the side of the stage to avert Puddle's attention.
Folks in the audience were aghast at the entire scene. Gaga's meat dress was shredded, Sharon Osborne was left of center stage attending to Puddles and trying to pry Gaga's $10,000 filet mignon purse out of her pooch's mouth, and Cher, unflappable, broke into her rendition of "The Beat Goes On," thereby taking a seemingly mediocre night of music and ending it on quite the high note.
