Actor Wesley Snipes said that tax charges against him for failure to file any return for six consecutive years are racially motivated.
"Why they be goin' after me? It's cuz I'se a brother." said the actor from his hide out in Harlem. "Lot's of honkeys don pay they's taxes un they don got the law chasin' dems."
Snipes employed the tax firm of Dewey, Cheatem, and Howe to prepare his tax forms, and then did not file with the IRS from 1999 through 2004. He believes that the government has issued a warrant for his arrest only because he is black.
"I tink da gubernment be's owin' me money cuz I'se a star! Dey don eben be givin' me no free cheese!"
