Justice Alito wasn’t under oath when he gave the first explanation of the upside-down American flag on his property following the January 6 insurrection or when the flag was recently flown upside down after Donald Trump was found guilty of 34 felonies.
His explanations have since been debunked.
Why?
There is a police record on file of the January 6, 2021 dispute.
The Alito upside-down American flag dispute occurred in 2021 following the failed January 6 insurrection. A neighbor living a few houses down the street from the Alito house had anti-Trump signs on her property.
As Trump supporters, Mr. and Mrs. Alito (who apparently do not believe in freedom of speech) walked down the street to the neighbor’s house and exchanged unneighborly words. The police were called, and the police filed a report indicating Justice Alito stood right alongside his wife while negative words were exchanged.
Subsequently, the upside-down US flag, a symbol used by pro-Trump insurrectionists on January 6, was raised at the Alito home.
Initially, the truth was misrepresented by Justice Alito, who characterized the flag raising as all his wife’s activity. The file police report, however, said otherwise.
So what?
Two cases involving Donald Trump are currently before the Supreme Court, and since Judge Alito demonstrated a bias in favor of Trump, it’s expected that Judge Alito should recuse himself.
Also, why was Alito so quick to wash his hands, blaming the entire episode on his wife? Why didn’t he man-up in the first place instead of blaming his wife?
Lastly, why did a filed police report, dug up from 2021, have to set the record straight when talking with a member of the US Supreme Court?
