Judge Cannon appears to have the judgment and discretion of a doorknob. Cannon, a Trump appointee, intentionally overlooked that Donald Trump took documents from the White House when he vacated on January 20. As a result, Trump had to return those documents to the National Archive & Record Administration.
Next, Trump claimed he had returned all the documents. Then, using a search warrant, the FBI discovered 15 more boxes in Trump's Mar-a-Lago basement. Was the discovery of the additional 15 boxes at Mar-a-Lago another lie, or was it an accidental, gosh, gee-wheeze, forget-me-not?
No forget-me-not there!
Remember Trump's tax return excuses and that his taxes were allegedly under audit by the IRS and would be released as soon as the IRS completed the audit? Those tax records still haven't been released.
Also, using the bone-spur excuse to dodge the draft during the war in Vietnam?
Besides, how could 15 boxes of classified documents or 15 boxes of anything be accidentally overlooked? Even in a basement?
With so many self-serving lies through the years, Judge Cannon appears to have a short memory and is confusing loyalty for much-needed judgment.
It is as though she would have judged that George Floyd committed suicide or that Chris Rock slapped himself at the Academy Awards. If Trump says that the world is flat, will Judge Cannon agree?
So in an emergency, with US undercover agents in hiding, fearful of being exposed due to classified information left untended in Trump's Mar-a-Lago basement, compromising both sources and methods, Judge Cannon again delays a quick investigation for the safety of those agents and the security of this nation.
