DENVER – Popular country music icon Willie Nelson, who is 86 years old, told The Denver Claimer-Clarion that he is putting his Colorado marijuana shop up for sale.
The Texas troubadour said that, at his age, it is just too much trouble to have to supervise the planting, harvesting, testing, packaging, and marketing of his world-famous strain of marijuana.
Nelson noted that he is perfectly content to just be able to smoke his prized weed back on his 117,000 acre Texas ranch 2 or 7 times a day.
He added that, lately, with his sheltering-in-place, he has been smoking more pot than he has ever smoked in his 70 years of adult life.
He smiled his patented Willie Nelson smile, and said, somewhat tongue-in-cheek, that all of that pot smoking is starting to interfere with his womanizing.
The Austin-based octogenarian confessed that he is not only having trouble remembering what day it is, but what month it is as well.
Willie’s harmonica player Mickey “Lips” Raphael told Yippie-Ki-Yay Magazine that Willie has been spending a lot of his shelter-in-place time writing songs.
He said that his most recent song is a Disney-type song titled, “Snow White and The Seven Stoned Dwarfs”.
Yippie-Ki-Yay is reporting that cannabis connoisseur Snoop Dogg is interested in purchasing Willie’s marijuana shop.
