The late fashion designer, Karl Lagerfeld used to stroke his cat, Choupette, it's been revealed.
Lagerfeld, who died on Tuesday, aged 85, would sit for hours in a high-backed swivel chair gently stroking the beautiful, silky, white fur of Choupette, in the style of legendary James Bond villain, Ernst Stavro Blofeld, played by Donald Pleasance.
Blofeld, the megalomaniacal head of the terrorist syndicate known as SPECTRE, appeared in the 1967 spy film, You Only Live Twice, whereas cats have nine lives. Lagerfeld only had one, apparently.
It's not known who will now take responsibility for stroking Lagerfeld's cat, but it certainly won't be Lagerfeld, the Spoof understands.
