image for Sinéad O'Connor New Album A Cry For Help?
O'Connor being escorted on a long walk off a short pier

Irish singist, Sinéad O'Connor, last released an album in 2014, and has been busy being controversial since then. Now, however, she resurfaces in her own inimitable style with her newest offering, 'Buy Me - PLEASE!'

O'Connor has never been a 'happy singer', and her songs have always been riddled with angst, fear, foreboding, hopelessness, terror, and other such negative stuff. With this album, she plunges to new, lower depths of desperation; wailing, moaning, beseeching the listener to come to her aid, and save her from being ignored.

Her two previous albums, 'How About I'll Be Me (and You Be You)' in 2012, and the 2014 release 'I'm Not Bossy, I'm The Boss' were stylishly-named, but this latest offering is more like a plea, or a cry for help.

Following her recent conversion to Islam, several of the tracks on the new release showcase distinctive Arabic rhythms, and feature authentic Arabic instrumentation. It's not known if she's singing in Arabic or Gaelic, but it doesn't matter, it's all unintelligible claptrap.

For those few people interested, here's a full tracklist:

1. How I Hate Those White People! (Like Me)
2. I'm An Arab Inside (This Week)
3. I Don't Hate Everyone, Just You Lot
4. Don't Ignore Me!
5. When Will I Be Noticed? (Bros)
6. Look! It's Me!
7. Why Won't You Fondle Me?
8. What Have The Roman Catholics Ever Done For Us?
9. Song For Guy Fawkes (Elton John)
10. A Long Walk, Off A Short Pier
11. Nothing Compares 2 U
12. Nothing Compares 2 U (Reprise)
13. Nothing Compares 2 U (Radio edit)
14. Nothing Compares 2 U (12" version)
15. Nothing Compares 2 U (Arabic version)
16. Nothing Compares 2 U (One Last Desperate Throw of the Dice mix)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
