It was an unexpected glitch at an otherwise successful hologram rehearsal performance which showcased the king of pop at his finest.
The show which has taken months to create was so realistic that special guest and former Jackson pet Bubbles the Chimp had an adverse reaction to the entire affair.
"At first he just walked up on stage when Michael was performing, or the hologram of Michael was performing," explained camera man Tom Crawford.
"It was actually a very touching scene for a few moments until the hologram of MJ moon walked through Bubbles the Chimp and then everything went (pardon the pun) ape shit."
Bubbles tried desperately to grab at the projected image of his former master and overlord but became irate when the hologram just continued on with the performance.
Bubbles then went ballistic and trashed the set before security guards had no choice but to taser the chimpanzee.
"I actually considered shooting him with my service revolver," confessed head of security Paulo Ng, "But I know Michael wouldn't have wanted that so we lit him up with 50 000 volts of blue steel instead."
"I have never seen anything like it," observed fellow audiance member Barbara Harris, "I have heard the expression never go full retard, well that little chimp went full primate."
