Photographs of Deborah Harry, lead singer for the group Blondie have revealed that she dies her hair blonde, and isn't a natural blonde.
"It was hard to tell in her early photos," said Harry Blondiefan, Deborah Harry's number one fan, who has pictures only a stalker could get. "They were in black and white, on account of the world wasn't in colour until she was seventeen. By this time, she'd already started dying her hair."
Blondiefan, who has changed his name by deed poll, and not grown up with a remarkably coincidental name, has photographic evidence to prove Deborah Harry is not a natural blonde.
"Her carpets and curtains don't match," said Blondiefan. "I was quite surprised. She's a red-head. Well, not red-head, but you know what I mean."
Very few people have seen the photos, which Blondiefan will be keeping under wraps to spare Deborah Harry's blushes.
"I've shown the pictures to a few people," said Blondiefan. "They're all as surprised as me. In fact, among ourselves, we now call her Deborah Red Hairy. To tell the truth, I've gone off her a bit. I only really have a thing for blondes."
Deborah Harry's publicity company have strongly denied Deborah's ginger roots.
"She's not a ginger," said Felicity Publicity. "It was a trick of the light lending a ginger hue to the hair."
This denial has not stopped a whole host of 'strawberry blondes' coming out in support of Deborah Harry, and she now has her own fan page on FamousGingers.com. Harry Blondiefan has refused to send them the pictures as proof of Deborah Harry's downstairs hair.
Since the revelation, Deborah Harry has had a bikini wax so that no further such pictures can be taken.
