As Celebrity Big Brother and Dancing On Ice return to our screens, shadowy vigilante organisation TV Repair Man has issued a new warning to producers and schedulers.
"Ignore these warnings and accept the consequences," the organisation said in a communiqué iussued earlier today.
"We had numerous successes during 2011 in our campaign to improve the TV schedules and we will not be letting up in 2012."
The communiqué pointed out that various game shows had been cancelled as presenters got cold feet under pressure from the organisation and some shows had changed format.
It also claimed early success in its campaign against the latest series of Dancing On Ice.
"The producers can claim that Keith Chegwin and Chesney Hawkes have pulled out due to injury. We and the public are aware of the truth - they have listened to TV Repair Man and have understood the cogency of the argument."
But it's not all bad news.
"However, TV Repair Man congratulates the BBC on its continuation of the excellent series Total Wipeout on Saturday evenings, now in its Winter format.
"That Amanda Byram is well fit!"
