Fans of Football League clubs have been told to "shove it" after they complained about the lack of BBC coverage over the festive period.
Highlights and goal packages from matches in the three leagues below the Premier League are usually shown after the flagship football show Match of the Day.
But the BBC ditched the Football League Show on Boxing Day and will do so again tomorrow night and on Bank Holiday Monday, when there is a full set of fixtures.
"It's a bloody disgrace, is what it is," said Portsmouth fan, Jake Seaport. "Everyone wants to see Pompey, don't they? I know they don't care about Scumton - but Pompey? Yeah, very popular."
A spokesman said: "Oh do shut up. Who gives a flying f**k about the bloody Football League? You can shove it, as far as I'm concerned.
"Are Man United in the Football League? No! Are Arsenal or Chelsea? No! They're all that matters. Them and Man City and Liverpool... oh, yeah, and Tottenham. If I had my way, we wouldn't even show the rest of the Premier League, let alone the Football League no-hopers.
"You lot should be grateful for what we do show - even if you do have to stay up 'til three in the morning to see it. Now shove off!"
