CHICAGO - The powers that be at Google have just announced a major change that will take place at 12:01 a.m. on May 1, 2011.
The name Google will be changed to the more politically correct Giggle.
Google spokesperson Nash Critcaster told the news media that the owners of Google have listened to their customers and they have decided to change the first "o" into an "i" and the second "o" into a "g."
Critcaster said that regarding the actual Internet format it will remain the same. He did stress that contrary to rumors that started in Cheyenne, Wyoming, Giggle will not be charging a monthly fee of $95 in order to access it.
He pointed out that since there has been a tremendous surge in humor sites as of late that it just made sense for Google to get with the program and make the needed name adjustment in order to keep in tune with the humoristic times.
Critcaster did want it known that the Google Store will be selling all of their merchandise with the Google name and Google logo at 90% off.
He said that even the Google Rolex watches which were selling for $10,000 will now be reduced down to $1,000.
