Good-bye "Have it your way." Hello "Be your way." And the BK workers seem to approve.
"Why should pesty customers expect everything THEIR way?" asked a gum-chewing BK worker yesterday, continuing, "what a crock." Popping his gum at the interviewer, he then added, "Let them eat cake."
And he wasn't the only worker expressing disdain for customers. "Be your way" is definitely an improvement, said a perky, ponytailed young worker. She added, "It kinda takes the workers out of the equation, y'know? Like go ahead and do what you want but don't bother us."
An older worker suggested adding a word to the slogan. "Be ON your way" sounds right to me, she said, continuing, "a lot of our customers think that a dollar purchase buys them a seat here all day. It's an outrage. I'd like to shoo them out the door."
I dunno. Whatever happened to service with a smile?
