MIAMI, Florida - Burger King Spokesman Gavin Zhivago related that the BK home office is positively thrilled with the sales of their latest menu addition.
Zhivago said that the new NBA-themed Double Dribble Deluxe Cheeseburger is selling like gangbusters.
He noted that the idea actually came from a long time Burger King patron, 78-year-old Magenta Tockertiggin of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Mrs. Tockertiggin is a Milwaukee Bucks season ticket holder and she got the idea from one of the most common fouls that the Bucks commit: The dreaded double dribble.
Burger King gave Grandma Maggie, as her 19 grandchildren call her, a check for $17,450, plus all of the Double Dribble Deluxe Cheeseburgers she can eat.
SIDENOTE: Mrs. Tockertiggin told the local media that the money and cheeseburgers will help to ease the pain of the lowly performance of the Bucks who are presently in last place with an 8-39 record.
