After months of faffing about, the Football Association have announced they have approached Roy Hodgson about the vacant England managers job.

Yes, Woy Hodgson who failed miserably at Liverpool. Then again he was no worse than Benitez and Dalgish - his predecessor and replacement.

However, he has won league titles and cups in Sweden and Denmark. He took Inter Milan to the 1997 Uefa Cup final and Fulham to the 2010 Europa League final. And he was managed three international teams, over achieving with Switzerland and Finland.

Good luck Roy - you haven't even got the job yet and the media and fans are crucifying you!
