So, Labour have control of 61 councils to the Conservatives 42? That's not too bad you know.

The government has paid the price for taking "difficult decisions" in "difficult times"!

Margaret Thatcher knew what she was doing when she closed the pits, destroyed the UK car industry, closed the steelworks and docks, and her good work was carried on under Tony Blair and Gordon Brown.

Now Blair wants to come back into politics - not a good idea!
