Robin Van Persie has released a statement saying he will not be signing a new Arsenal contract. His current deal expires at the end of 12/13 season.

So we could keep him for one more season and let him go without a fee, or sell him in the next few days. To Manchester City. well, where else will he go? I would prefer he went abroad, to Madrid, Barca or PSG.
But almost certainly he will be in Manchester. He says he wants to win trophies.

Admittedly, it has been a while since Arsenal won a trophy, but we were getting so close. Maybe we should drop into the Scottish football league like Rangers? or drop a division into the Championship, bound to win that. Or even better, move to America and join the Major League Soccer (MLS) - guaranteed trophy!!
