HARFOLD, VT-The past week's worth of fighting in Syria and Libya has been seen as a breath of fresh air for those sick and tired of hearing about suicide bombings in Bagdad and Kabul.
"Let someone else rip the shit out of each other," said a senior advisor under President Barack Obama. "Or at least let the media cover it more heavily than our wars."
The revolutions and civil uprisings in many Arab nations which have been taking place since this past December have done an nice job in kicking Iraq- and Afghan-related stories off the front page of many newspapers.
Even Arab students in the United States seemed to welcome the limelight.
"We're on the map for a reason," said Aviv R., a Syrian student at Harfold State College. "Yes, we're small, but we carry a big-ass kick."
Said Tunisian student Alena S, also at HSC: "Our Tunisia may only be the size of your Georgia, but we can fire rocket grenades like no other American colony did."
