Ichiro Ozawa, the former secretary-general of Japan's ruling Democratic Party, also said he values US democracy but dismissed the American people as "simple-minded"
He especially hates their television programs, like the Simpson's and has called for a ban on the cat and mouse team that Bart and Lisa watch, that's right, he wants to see a lot less of Scratchy and wants a complete Itchy ban.
He also said, "Why is the United States so simple? I like Americans, but they are somewhat like single-cell organisms."
Despite his opinion of the American people, he praised Barack Obama becoming president, but then went on to say "There are rumours that a black leader will surely be assassinated"
Following his outlandish statements, Mr Ozawa excused himself, right there, in front of the assembled reporters.
