Early Satirist Hermann von Lowton

Satiric leader Mark Lowton has ordered writers for TheSpoof.com this week to grow their beards and trim their moustaches.

"Anyone found violating this law will face the consequences," Denny Dooster a Lowton functionary said, announcing the edict.

But, is growing a beard obligatory under Satiric law?

Professor Muhammad Abdel Haleem, of the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London, says it is not.

It is up to the individual whether he lets his facial hair grow or not, Mr Abdel Haleem says, attributing this view to most scholars of Satiric law across a majority of Internet-dominated countries.

"There is no correlation between facial hair and one's ability as a Satirist".

Recommendation

Traditionally Satirists learn about the Lowton's views on facial hair from TheSpoof.com, through Shiite - sayings - attributed to Jesus Budda, Fegus McCarthy, Monkey Woods and other Shiite artists.

One such Shiite saying, related by scholar Hermann von Lowton centuries ago, stipulates: "Take a bit off of the top and sides, cut the moustaches short and leave the sideburns kick-ass."

Mark Lowton is believed to have a beard and those who insist that devout Satirists grow beards argue that they are doing no more than emulating Mark Lowton's actions.

The question that arises is one of enforcement.

Mr. Denny Dooster, a strong advocate of facial hair, says the body of Shiite law at the core of manuals of Satiric practice puts it as a recommendation - sitting in the middle between an order and absolute free choice.

But, he adds, it is "a top-notch recommendation from our betters nonetheless".

Every practising Satirist, he argues should be free to exercise their choice, "without fear of retribution now and in the future".

"Women are an exception, most being disadvantaged in their capacity to grow a beard they may wear a niqab instead masking their lack of beardness. Nancy boy writers who cannot grow a beard may wear one as well I reckon".

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
