LONDON - On the heels of the successful PBS documentary, "Monarchy - The Royal Family at Work," Buckingham Palace today announced that Queen Elizabeth II's cherished Corgi dogs will star in a documentary of their own, "Big Hearts, Small Bladders - The Royal Corgis at Work."
Palace Corgi spokesperson Sir Denis Crapfoot said, "The Queen is honored that her beloved Corgis have been portrayed with respect and dignity. She is gratified that the entire world finally will see the Corgis in all their splendor."
Cameras followed the dogs around the Palace and Windsor Castle for over four months. As the Corgis have no official "work" to perform, highlights of the footage feature them peeing - in Palace hallways, the front residence entrance, the front public entrance, the Queen's private bedroom, the Castle's Blue Room, Grand Salon and Round Tower, and at the feet of various foreign dignitaries and several Ladies In Waiting.
The only place the Corgis seemed not to urinate was out of doors, unless one counts several accidents inside The Duke of Edinburgh's Ranger Rover.
The 14-part documentary begins airing in February, 2010.
