Real estate agents told a UPI reporter yesterday that houses just are not selling well in Afghanistan either.
"It's not just in the United States", stated real estate agent Abdul Jabberwaki. "We have over 200 empty houses here in the local province that have been empty since bombs blew out the whole insides."
Most blame the Taliban who set fire to houses at random just to set an example.
"They come into your town and beat your wife or daughter with a stick because she raised her head to keep from walking into a wall or they drag you behind their horses because you picked your nose in public."
"There is little stealing here as many have lost fingers over having tucked in their lower garment into upper garment after taking a crap in bushes. That is another sin the Taliban will correct."
"But it is the same the world around. You go to the United States and a hurricane hits you and government takes months to get you some help. So where should one live?"
"But I have a nice home here, very cheap with hiding place for when Taliban come around. You like to see while you are here? No money down."
