Aboard the Doo Sea Doo-An Itallian sub and a Turkey sub collided this morning in rough seas off the coast of California and while no lives were lost, the subs were considered a total lose.
The subs were being tracked by the crew for hours before the incident.
"We were amazed to see such large subs so close together and were getting very nervous because several times they almost touched. All we could do was watch. It was only a matter of time.", said First Mate Burl Smith.
Eyewitnesses describe a harrowing scene in which one sub was continually battered by the other until both ended up in complete disarray on the floor of this fine ship's galley.
"I was so hungry and I had waited all day for a chance to sit down and eat. When I stepped into the galley, this was the first thing I saw." Said Captian Stueben. "There was salami and cappicola and turkey everywhere! There was mayonnaise and specially seasoned oil smeared all over the place! I've never seen such a tragic waste!"
