The tomato ban, which spread from Texas and New Mexico to nine states, then seventeen states, and then the entire country, has been traced to product imported from Mexico.
Round, red and Roma tomatoes have been removed from grocery stores and restaurants across the United states and Canada due to Salmonella poisoning.
Research and investigation by the F.D.A. has revealed that the tainted products were imported from Mexico and grown in fields that fertilize with human waste..
Juan Guadalupe de Jesus Valdez Valdez Valdez Gonzalez, head of the Mexican version of the Food and Drug Administration, issued the following announcement:
"We have stopped the practice of using human waste to fertilize our fields. Like the rest of the world, we will begin using chemical fertilizers and steer manure. We will no longer use the dregs of society, such as Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, and George W. Bush, to fertilize our fields. We promise that we will find another use for waste of human beings and apologize to anyone that got sick."
