The funniest graphic the writer could find - He was still incapable of writing a witty caption to go underneath it.

A writer for a satirical website, today published an article that contained absolutely no amusing content on the satirical news website 'The Spoof'.

Writer, 'the Macster', whose story was about this unfunny item that you're reading right now, said to himself whilst writing it: "The reality is, that I just can't right funny articles. The last joke that I put into a spoof news story was lifted straight from a four-year-old issue of Private Eye, and that wasn't a very good one. You know, maybe its time for some serious items for a change. People don't want to be happy all the time. Sometimes they don't want a laugh and I believe that I can help them with that on this satirical news website."

Despite this, the Macster hopes that office workers across the world will spend many hours trying to work out whether his serious news article is in fact, really funny, but in a clever and unfunny, Martin Amis kind of way.

"I think that really, really intelligent people will agree with my sentiments and support me by awarding this article five stars. People who don't will obviously be a bit thick, possibly retarded and may even enjoy the occasional episode of 'Keeping up Appearances'," The Macster said optimistically.

The Spoof editors were unavailable for comment. Although one was seen to yawn.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
